Days Kiting at Swansea Bay

Well it seems to be that we are finally starting to get some decent weather……slowly but surely. :D?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /

A fab days kiting was had today with some Aberavon Sand Pirates showing their faces….Gasket all credit goes to you for having your first go at Freestyle Kite Bugging. A lot of success to with getting up on two wheels and even getting some air jumping….HORRAYY for more freestylers!!

Flexifoil were kind enough to give me some Stings to enable me to allow people who were interested into getting to the sport to have a go on a kite that was suited for a beginner. What a success it was today….three different individuals had their first go on a kite and left the beach grinning from ear to ear. They all paid an interested in the kites and when offered to have a go jumped at the chance and what a result with possibly 2 out of 3 of them possibly purchasing there first kite. My highlight of today was to see a 60+ year old lady having her first fly of kite and all she did was let out constant WOOO HOOOOSS!!! After about 30 mins of constant kiting she certainly had the hang of it and didn’t want to put the kite down. RESULT!!!

Sadly there wasn’t much wind today but certainly enough to have fun, do some freestyle and bring a smile to some peoples’ faces.

All in all a fantastic day out and was a pleasure to help people get their hands on a kite for the first time.
